Acclaim Builders was founded in 2008 in Raleigh NC by Wally Ackerson.

Previously, Wally was a partner in a successful construction company in Charlotte NC for eight years.  In 2007 Wally sold his business interests and moved with his wife to the Triangle after the birth of their first child to be closer to family.
